My 10 yr old daughter has been taking private piano lessons with Daniel Lee for more than 2 years. Daniel is a talented musician and a wonderful instructor. He is very patient and caring to his students. Deeply rooted in his family's 40+ year tradition of providing conservatory level musical training, Daniel's piano class is systematic and well-round. In addition to piano performing, he also emphasizes theory, listening and sight reading. I highly recommend Daniel. You will not regret to take his lessons!

Daniel Lee is an excellent trumpet teacher who has the right mix of high expectations, kindness and experience to help my child achieve diligence and enthusiasm in his daily practice and performance. He has also been a phenomenal piano accompanist for my other child, and we feel so lucky to have found this studio.

Mr. Lee is the simply the best piano teacher my 10 years son has had. His teaching philosophy is classic and ways are modern. In his class, he teaches and correct his student. After the class, he encourages his student to use apps to learn rhythm and notes. His lesson notes are clear and easy to follow so my son has no issue to practice as required. Sincerely recommend to anyone who is seeking a great piano teacher.

I’ve know Dan since we were in our teens. Dan always seemed to be one step ahead of me and I’ve spent a career trying to keep up with him.
He’s got an amazing sound and has lots of nuance in his playing.
I know that Dan, through his always cool demeanor and grace, can teach your children anything they would like to learn.

Daniel Lee is a multi-talented musician, performer and teacher, whose warm and gregarious personality welcome all who study with him. The amazingly varied set of skills and ideas he brings to his teaching make him unique among Northern Virginia teachers. His training at the Curtis Institute of Music, Boston Univeristy and Miami University have given him a wider scope of instruction and performing skills than any other teacher I know. Mr. Lee works closely with interested parents and students to create a program specifically designed for them. The more interested the student, the more successful the outcome. When I observe his teaching I am impressed with the respect and understanding he shows each student, and the lesson plans he designs to inspire motivation that ensures a musical skill that lasts a lifetime!

Daniel Lee is a musician and music teacher par excellence. My daughter has been taking piano lessons from him over the last one year and we are very pleased with the strides she has made in this short time. Daniel is very organized and maintains excellent communication. He also makes all information available online including class notes on technique and practice pieces, class and practice schedules, music downloads, etc. He is super committed as a teacher and is very respectful and gracious in dealing with the students and the parents.

At age 72, I decided to take piano lessons again, as my playing is very basic. I studied piano when I was 12 for about 3 years. I didn’t play much until I finished college and a tour in the Army. I was self-taught for decades and played mostly from lead sheets. My left hand essentially played chords, which is okay if you have an electronic keyboard and a technological crutch. I also forgot how to read the bass clef. I found Daniel Lee during a web search. He is exactly what I needed – personable, motivating, and doesn’t frown when I hit the wrong notes or detour from the prescribed tempo. He is patient, encouraging, and has laid out the exact path I needed to improve my speed and dexterity. Never thought I would play scales again – now I see how beneficial this practice is. So, if you are an adult and want to improve what you learned in your youth or you just want to start learning, I highly recommend that you meet Daniel and see the outstanding studio they have built.

Mr. Lee is the greatest piano teacher I’ve ever had. He is very patient and creative in piano teaching. I learned so much from him. Not only play the songs, but also give a nice emotional flow to the music notes. I like his way of teaching piano and his passion about piano really influenced his students. Highly recommend!
